Apr 24, 2012 Machine Vision Products (MVP), a leader in Automated Optical Inspection, will be demonstrating their latest Supra E and Ultra 850G Microelectronics AOI at Nepcon China in Shanghai from April 25th to April 27th. The award winning Supra E AOI provides customers with the best cost to performance ratio for any AOI system. Capable of inspecting 508 x 508mm boards, the system utilizes MVP’s latest ease-of-use software and includes options for automatic database generation from a variety of input sources without the need for 3rd party data translators. As with all of MVP’s inline SMT focused AOI solutions, the Supra E comes standard with a true 10 micron pixel resolution for inspection of components as small as 01005, with full solder inspection. In addition, MVP supports sub-pixel algorithms with proven performance in demanding metrology applications.
Providing inspection and metrology capability for Wire-bond, BGA, Packaging, Die, and Wafer bump, MVP will also be demonstrating their Ultra 850G solution. For Wire-bond inspection, the solution provides resolutions down to 1um to allow the inspection of the smallest wires. For packaging Inspection, the Ultra 850G needs no cad data input as MVP’s new ease of use wizards allow for programming a wide variety of different BGA layouts in a matter of minutes. Our BGA application allows for full AOI inspection of ball metrology, ball height, ball misplacement and presence, and substrate surface finish.
