The PVA650 is a compact three- or four-axis robotic platform for dispensing a variety of adhesives, sealants and conformal coatings. The system uses a robust gantry system featuring precision ball screw slides driven by brushless DC servo motors. Every axis of motion features optical encoder feedback for a truly closed-loop process.
With the implementation of the PVA650, Computrol has a completely customizable process. The PVA650 offers a variety of valve mount configurations. Using the robot’s high payload capacity, multiple valves can be installed on the motion platform to process multiple assemblies simultaneously, apply multiple materials or use multiple application heads to achieve the desired process results.
Computrol installed the new PVA650 at its manufacturing facility in Meridian, Idaho. The purchase demonstrates Computrol’s commitment to continuous improvement in every element of the business. “The addition of the PVA650 machine will greatly reduce the amount of prep time required for conformal coating PCAs. It also will add consistency and repeatability between PCAs and work orders, resulting in tremendous time savings in the long run.
