Bentek Solar Announces 25 MW UTS Solar Product Supply Agreement with Signal Energy

Jan 23, 2012

Bentek Solar, a leading designer and manufacturer of PV products that connect PV panels to the inverter for the commercial and utility-scale (UTS) marketplaces, announces a 25 MW supply agreement with Signal Energy, a major UTS, design/build general contractor for the North American renewable energy industry.

Bentek Solar will supply Signal Energy with UTS combiners, re-combiners, disconnect safety systems and accessories for 25 MW of solar projects in the Southwestern United States.

We are pleased to partner with Signal Energy to provide innovative, cost-effective PV solutions for the UTS marketplace. We look forward to meeting Signal Energy’s customers’ needs with high-reliability, high-quality Balance Of System (BoS) PV Solar products,” said John H. Buckley, Executive Sales and Marketing at Bentek Solar.

Ben Fischer, President of Signal Energy, said, “Innovative solar products, like those from Bentek Solar, are extremely important to Signal Energy and our clients as we put our vision of building a clean energy future into action. The decreased cost of solar PV technology and increased volume of PV sold has elevated the competitiveness of solar with other sources of power. This is a win-win for the solar industry, the economy and power producers seeking to balance their generation portfolios.”

With more than 400 MW of renewable energy projects currently in progress, including more than 40 MW of solar projects in the U.S. and Canada, Signal Energy has completed 40 renewable energy projects since 2005.
Signal Energy provides engineering and construction for utility-scale renewable energy projects ranging from 5 to 140 MW for clients including ENEL, BP Alternative Energy, Chevron, Amonix, Valero Energy, DeWind Co., SunEdison, Noble Environmental Power, WKN, Vestas and John Deere Energy.
