Cogiscan, the leading track, trace and control solution provider for the electronics manufacturing industry, will introduce its new LabelScan Automated Vision System in Booth #1232 at the upcoming IPC APEX Expo, scheduled to take place February 28 - March 1, 2012 at the San Diego Convention Center in California. The LabelScan label reader is a significant breakthrough innovation in Cogiscan’s corporate history.

The new handheld vision system can take a single image of all the fields on a supplier barcode label. The turnkey solution features an advanced algorithm to recognize the different fields of data and transfer this data in a suitable format to any application used for receiving materials, such as an MES, MRP or ERP.

We want to bring useful innovations into the manufacturing process. Our objective is to improve manufacturing efficiency and the quality of manufactured goods by automating the interactions between all the elements of a manufacturing system: man, machine, materials and systems. At the end of the day automation translates in making more reliable electronic products at the lowest possible cost. That was true when we invented MSD Control 11 years ago, it was true when we invented RFID Smart Feeders, and it is still true with our latest innovation - LabelScan,” commented François Monette, Co-President Sales and Marketing, Cogiscan.
