4th Gen Intel® Core™ Processor, optimized design, and full compatibility ideal for industrial automation solutions.

ADLINK Technology, a leading provider of building blocks and intelligent platform solutions, today announced the release of its latest industrial ATX motherboard, the IMB-M42H, featuring the 4th Gen Intel® Core™ i7/i5/i3/Pentium®/Celeron® Processor family and Intel® H81 chipset. The IMB-H42H supports integrated motion/vision application-based platforms with a leading price/performance ratio. Combined high-bandwidth PCIe x16, PCIe x4 and conventional PCI slots, superior and rugged I/O connectivity and optimal design make it an optimum solution for industrial automation applications.

Superior computing performance

ADLINK’s IMB-M42H supports the latest 4th Gen Intel® Core™ i7/i5/i3/Pentium®/Celeron® processors in a LGA1150 package, improving on the previous generation with computing power increased as much as 18% and graphics performance up to 80%, all with minimal power consumption, thereby directly benefiting multiple simultaneous complex motion and vision processes.

Motion & vision capabilities empower automation

ADLINK’s IMB-M42H dedicated mainstream expansion slots include one PCI Express Gen2 x16 slot, one PCI Express Gen2 x4 slot and four PCI slots, providing limitless PCI Express expansion options for frame grabbers, digitizers, and high-resolution dynamic signal acquisition and generation modules, and PCI expansion options for motion capture and I/O ports, enabling instant implementation of machine vision and industrial automation operations. Full-compatibility verification testing ensures high bandwidth support with no image data loss. In addition, each USB port provides up to 1A power supply, enabling stable and reliable connectivity of cameras or other devices. The IMB-M42H stands alone as the ideal application ready platform for motion and vision integrated applications.

Superior connectivity reduces TCO

The IMB-M42H provides reliable, rich industrial grade I/O connectivity including 6 COM ports (COM1/2 supporting RS232/422/485, COM1 supporting RS-485 automatic flow control for network communications), 10 USB ports (2 USB 3.0), and 8-bit 4-In/4-Out API sample code-ready GPIO. Moreover, the IMB-42H provides stable and reliable USB and LAN ports, two USB3.0 interfaces, and one Intel i217V Giga LAN interface enable connection to USB 3.0 or GigE cameras, without requiring extra USB 3.0 or NIC cards The superior I/O design eliminates the cost of additional communications and trigger modules, lowering TCO.

The IMB-M42H accommodates integration of ADLINK’s full spectrum of frame grabbers, motion controllers, and data acquisition cards, and with the clear benefits of ADLINK’s comprehensive expertise and experience, delivers an industry-leading application-specific platform with versatile ADLINK I/O cards for automation applications.
