Focused on today’s highly dynamic production environments, Material Manager provides the functionality to achieve major reductions in floor stock by managing production schedules, maximising system utilization and productivity. In addition it allows for seamless integration with both in-house and proprietary ERP, MRP and MES tools, enabling you to take advantage of DPC's extensive features whilst enhancing and re-using existing capabilities.
Material Manager minimises losses from unplanned changeovers due to missing or un-locatable material. Any combination of Kanban and ERP/MRP driven orders can be loaded in real time to any line on the shop floor and operators then perform 'what if' analysis on each batch.
Eliminating shortages that would stop production, Material Manager checks there is sufficient online material available to complete an order. If insufficient material is available on the line, but is available in materials stores, it is reserved, picked, and transferred to the line in time for the order's scheduled start. Shortages that would stop production from starting and completing an order are flagged instantly, enabling the order to be rescheduled and thus preventing time-consuming, unnecessary changeovers.
Material Manager eliminates waste and lost time waiting for parts that have been depleted or changing over due to those parts not being available. Every item of material is tracked as it is being used, allowing: the application of material FIFO; the use of partially used material before new; and the real time enforcement of rules such as 'use by dates' and quarantines.
