The trade fairs had a grandeur opening with participation from Government officials, leading associations, industry professionals and technical experts. One of the highlight of the trade fairs was the Buyer-Seller forum. This forum fulfilled the requirement of large electronics hardware manufacturers by connecting them with the best suppliers. Companies who attended were Amar Raja, Aristos EMS, Centum Electronics, Flextronics, Indic EMS, Kaynes, L & T, Micron EMS, NMTronics, Pricol, Rangsons, Sahasra, Sanjay Technologies, Sanmina, SGS, Smile, TE, Techniks and many more.

One of the highlights of the trade fairs was the DEFTRONICS conference on India’s Defense and Aerospace sector, which was graced by the presence of the Karnataka Minister of IT, BT and S&T, Shri S. R. Patil who said, “India spent roughly $30 billion on imports of electronic products and components which will significantly go up if we do not encourage domestic ESDM ecosystem”.

Dr. Ajay Kumar, Jt.Secretary - Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), said: “I congratulate MMI India, the organizers of electronica India and productronica India for creating a platform that brings all the electronics manufacturing and components industry under one roof and create a great networking forum to exchange ideas and conduct business.

The trade fairs were supported by leading associations like Indian Electronics & Semiconductor Association (IESA), Electronic Industries Association of India (ELCINA), Consortium of Electronic Industries of Karnataka (CLIK), LED products Manufacturers' Association of India (LEDMA), to name a few.

Other accompanying programs were LEDCON, IPC INDIA 2014, SMT Workshop and ELCINA seminar. Dr. M. V. Facing acute energy shortage, State Governments are taking measures to reduce power consumption by opting for LED Lighting. This year at electronica India and productronica India, an exclusive LEDMA conference - LEDCON and LED pavilion made it more appealing for visitors and beneficial for the exhibitors as the whole electronic components manufacturing ecosystem was accessible.”

Mr. Soni Saran Singh, Executive Director of NMTronics India and Managing Director of iNETest Technologies India said: “We have been exhibitors for over 8 times now at electronica India and productronica India, and have in a sense, grown along with the event. Apart from the fact that the event is a very good platform to showcase our innovation and world-class technology, we have in a way built on our brand by participating at the trade fairs. Our global partners also have made it a point to make an India stop-over to attend the event and get a sense of our growing market. They are also keenly following the fortunes of our promising automobile sector where they see a tremendous potential for our products and services.
