NEPCON China 2011 will be held from May 11-13 at the Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center.

NEPCON China 2011 will be held from May 11-13 at the Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center.

In 2010, China's import and export volume of electronic and information products reached USD1.01 trillion in value. This figure reflects a growth of 29.3 percent, with exports accounting for USD591.2 billion, 37.5 percent of total national exports. These figures indicate how China has successfully managed the transition from a period of recovery to one of growth.

In 2011, the first year in China's 12th Five-Year Plan, how will the electronics manufacturing industry respond to developments like the structural change and shift of key industry regions? NEPCON China 2011, a precise barometer for the electronics manufacturing industry, will help participants gain insight into the hottest topics across the industry chain. The exhibition will be held from May 11-13 at the Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center.

The world's top electronics manufacturers will be at NEPCON China 2011. These include suppliers of SMT equipment like Assembléon, DEK, Fuji, Europlacer, Hitachi, JUKI, MYDATA, Panasonic, Samsung, Siemens, Sony, Speedline, Yamaha and Universal Instruments. Brazing furnace and solder suppliers like Folungwin, Henkel Loctite, Indium, KIC, MUSASHI, Nihon Superior, OK International, QUICK, Senju, Cookson, BTU, Heller and Rehm Thermal also will participate. Test equipment suppliers, a third category of exhibitors that will be strongly represented at the event, include Agilent, Dage, MVP, Mirtec, Nagoya, Omron, Vi Technology, Koh Young, JET and TRI.

Statistics from China's Ministry of Information & Technology show that in 2010, the added value of larger-than-average electronics manufacturers was up by 16.9 percent, with an increase of 11.6 percent over the previous year - 1.2 percent higher than the industry average. The value of these companies’ sales was RMB6.34 trillion (USD 964.11 billion), a rise of 25.5 percent.

It is expected that in 2011, the added value of the electronics and information manufacturing industries will increase by 15 percent, with the domestic electronics and information product market remaining stable. The building of 3G commercial networks and digital cities, as well as upgrades in transportation and electronic networks, will accelerate the development of the domestic industry. Expanding strategically emerging industries like the electronics information industry is regarded as key to changing the direction of development patterns and encouraging industry investment growth. All of the above are important factors in the positive outlook for China’s electronics manufacturing in 2011. Through NEPCON China 2011, an array of the diverse sectors in electronics manufacturing, suppliers will be able to benefit from, and actively participate in, the development of the industry.

New Recycling Waste Electrical and Electronic Product Regulations came into effect on January 1, 2010. These aim to bring green considerations to the forefront of the whole process of product design, manufacturing, product use and recycling. In response to this new development trend, NEPCON China 2011 will debut a Green Electronics Design and Manufacturing Segment. This section of the exhibition will showcase energy-saving and environment-friendly equipment, products and services. It will be an effective platform on which electronics manufacturers can view and display integrated solutions for the industry.

The segment will be made up of four categories:

  • Green electronics recycling

  • Quality monitoring

  • Automation

  • ESD

Green electronics designers, manufacturers and suppliers, including Pro-hand, Jiasijie, Nuoyin, Yaskawa, Sumida Automation, Aurotek and SPARK will debut a variety of their most environmentally sustainable products and services here.

On the first day of NEPCON China 2011, a forum titled "Green Electronics Design and Manufacturing" will be jointly hosted by the CCPIT, Reed Exhibitions and CEPREI. This is to be the first conference in China with an exclusive focus on green electronics designs, manufacturing processes, equipment and integrated solutions. Purchasing decision-makers, together with the heads of production, manufacturing, materials, supply, environment and factory services departments from numerous renowned electronics design and manufacturing companies, are set to take part. They will discuss the outlook for the industry. There will be keynote speeches, case studies, technical exchanges and on-site presentations on popular issues like policies and regulations, industry standards, industry news, the latest trends, processes, and commercial demands. Through each of these, the forum will provide a comprehensive and unique platform for service and equipment suppliers to extend their market share, develop new markets and communicate face-to-face with fresh prospects.

Based on new innovations, the rapid and unrelenting growth of the domestic electronics manufacturing industry and the proliferation of new innovations in the manufacturing of microelectronics, semiconductors, motor electronics, medical electronics and communications electronics, companies today face an increasing demand for ESD products and services.

To diversify NEPCON China even further, Reed Exhibitions has, for the first time, created an ESD Product Segment. Meanwhile, SMTA China, SEPIA, ACT International, Clean Room and SMT China will hold seminars about ESD and clean rooms as part of the SMTA East China 2011 High Tech Conference, to foster open and high level communication across the industry. NEPCON China 2011 also will feature its regular activities, including the 2011 award ceremony for China electronics manufacturing and the 2011 Best SMT Engineer Award. Additionally, onsite salons will be available for NEPCON Friends, an initiative to reward loyal visitors and engineers, as well as a meet-and-greet with members of SMT home.

NEPCON China 2011 has been bold in positioning itself in new industry sectors and regions. The organizers, Reed Exhibitions, are delighted to confirm that visitor invitation campaigns and pre-registration for the exhibition are well underway. Visitors can pre-register online by logging on to http://www.nepconchina.com.
