Looking to break into the defence industry?

Mar 16, 2007

As visitors' only opportunity to visit a national electronics manufacturing exhibition on UK soil, Nepcon will see a substantially developed educational programme. Forming just one part of this programme, the DSEi seminars will provide advice to suppliers on gaining entry to the defence and aerospace markets. The DSEi seminar schedule covers four distinct areas; Why businesses should consider doing business with the defence industry, How the MoD (Ministry of Defence) aims to get SMEs into the supply chain, Compliance with defence standards, and Industry case studies highlighting the opportunities available in these areas.

"We are very pleased that DSEi has teamed up with Nepcon to put on these seminars which I am confident will be a great feature at the show," comments Nepcon Marketing Manager, Deborah Sibthorpe. "The new seminar programme will offer visitors and exhibitors insight into a different area of electronics manufacture, for which demand over the last few years has grown as businesses look for ways to diversify in this competitive climate. Due to the introduction of this new programme, we also hope that new visitors from the defence and aerospace industries will visit Nepcon to come and meet suppliers face-to-face and to gain a better understanding of the issues and pressures facing the electronics industry."

The DSEi is the world's largest fully integrated international defence exhibition. By partnering with the DSEi team, Nepcon has created a unique and dedicated seminar programme for visitors and exhibitors. The DSEi seminars are just one of the educational programmes running at Nepcon. There are also sessions by Electronics Yorkshire on legislation, the Smart Group with solutions to day-to-day problems and daily interactive round table debates.
