Nordson YESTECH’s complete line of AOI inspection solutions offers a unique technology approach, providing both image-based and algorithm-based inspection techniques. Image based AOI methods utilize a historical database of images, which can contain a series of both good and defective components, learning the variables within a group of images, and applying those learned variables against all future component inspections. In comparison, algorithm-based inspection utilizes contrast location mechanisms that look for variations in light and dark grayscale or color patterns to identify the component and the surrounding area. Nordson YESTECH’s flexible hardware and software inspection solutions employ a combination of both methods in one system, providing the most powerful and comprehensive inspection possible. The combination of both methods of inspection offer significant benefits including:

In addition, Nordson YESTECH's AOI systems offer advanced 5 megapixel color camera technology and high-speed image acquisition techniques which enable compatibility with even the fastest production lines. With one top down viewing camera and four side viewing cameras, the FX Series inspects solder joints and verifies correct part assembly, enabling users to improve quality and increase throughput. The BX benchtop’s optional four side viewing cameras add inspection capabilities typically found only on in-line systems. Nordson YESTECH's BX-UV utilizes ultraviolet LED lighting along with proprietary algorithms to automate the inspection of conformal coatings. Not only does this system provide a faster and more consistent approach to what has traditionally been a tedious manual process, but it also automates the data collection process by storing a comprehensive set of data and/or images, all linked to product barcode/serial numbers.
