NORTH READING, MA - Teradyne, Inc. (NYSE: TER) has been recognized by Texas Instruments (TI) with a 2009 Supplier Excellence Award. The award, given annually, honors companies whose dedication and commitment in supplying products and services meets TI's high standards for excellence. Recipients are chosen by TI for their exemplary performance in the areas of cost, environmental responsibility, technology, responsiveness, assurance of supply and quality. Fewer than 1% of TI’s more than 14,000 suppliers were recognized with this prestigious award.

"Texas Instruments has been a valued customer for over three decades, and this award verifies the dedication to excellence from our field and factory team"

"TI is especially proud of these award recipients for their commitment to excellence and efforts to deliver the highest quality and value to TI and its customers,” said Rob Simpson, vice president, Worldwide Procurement and Logistics, Texas Instruments in a statement announcing the awards.

According to TI, Teradyne’s accomplishments in reducing cost of test, increasing productivity with multisite test capability, and providing engineering, applications, and service support were key elements in its selection for the award.

“Texas Instruments has been a valued customer for over three decades, and this award verifies the dedication to excellence from our field and factory team,” said Mark Jagiela, president of Teradyne’s Semiconductor Test Division. “We look forward to continuing to develop test solutions with TI that enable production of even greater technology innovations.”
