Seika’s Michelle Ogihara to Co-Chair the Moisture-Sensitive Device Council Meeting at SMTAI

Seika Machinery, Inc., a leading provider of advanced machinery, materials and engineering services, announces that Michelle Ogihara, Senior Sales Manager, will co-chair the Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) Council meeting during the upcoming SMTA International Conference & Exhibition. The meeting is scheduled to take place Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 3 p.m. in room #60 in the conference area. The council welcomes all interested parties seeking solutions to their MSD issues to come with questions.

MSD Council Co-Chairs, Mumtaz Bora of Peregrine Semiconductor and Michelle Ogihara, will preside over the meeting that includes a presentation by Steve Martell of Sonoscan covering updates on the IPC/J-STDs 020E, 033 and 075 and the IPC 1601 guideline. There will be a Q& A session on moisture-sensitivity issues relating to component and PCB handling, storage and assembly processes.

The council is a voluntary group, under the auspices of the SMTA, dedicated to advancing the understanding and practice of moisture sensitive devices control in electronic assembly procedures and practices.
