In a deal finalized in Leyland, UK on April 1, the Italian laminate manufacturer PIAD spa has purchased the entire issued share capital of Crossley & Bradley Ltd. from the receiver of AIK Industrie GmbH in Germany. The deal emphasizes PIAD�s commitment to being a major supplier to the UK printed circuit market and enhances Crossley & Bradley�s position as a leading distributor of copper-clad laminates in the UK, PIAD and Crossley & Bradley said in a shared statement.
PIAD spa has been a key supplier to Crossley & Bradley Ltd. for the past 10 years, and the two companies already enjoy a close working relationship. However, PIAD emphasizes that there will be no dramatic change in Crossley & Bradley�s operations, and in particular reassures customers and suppliers that there is no intention to dictate what product ranges Crossley & Bradley should stock and distribute. Such choices will continue to be the responsibility of the UK management, whose decisions will be based on commercial considerations and customer demand, the firms said.
Originally formed as a two-man partnership in 1970, Crossley & Bradley has been serving the PCB industry for more than 30 years. The newly-announced deal gives Crossley & Bradley the opportunity to serve the market for many more years to come, said that firm.
