IPC: Shows Must Go On

Mar 28, 2003

NORTHBROOK, Ill., March 20, 2003--IPCAssociation Connecting Electronics Industries has announced that plans for its two upcoming exhibitions and conferences, IPC Printed Circuits Expo 2003 and IPC SMEMA Councils APEX 2003, remain intact, despite the latest developments in the Middle East and around the world.

IPC has worked very closely with local authorities throughout the planning of IPC Printed Circuits Expo 2003, taking place March 23-27 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, Calif., and IPC SMEMA Councils APEX 2003, being held March 29-April 2 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif. IPC, local city officials and personnel at both convention centers and visitors bureaus have stepped up their efforts to provide additional security measures for the safety of all exhibitors, attendees and staff.

The best thing we can do as an industry is continue to do business and continue to build relationships, develop technologies, launch products and implement systems, said Lisa Griffin, IPC director of assembly industry programs. We expect safe and successful exhibitions and conferences.
