Viscom X-Ray GmbH from Hanover, Germany has announced a strategic cooperation with Advanced X-Ray Incorporated (AXI) of Buford, Georgia, USA. Representatives of both companies met in Hanover, Germany in November 2000.
AXI manufactures and markets conventional and high-resolution X-ray systems in the US and provides product-related service. It is a well-recognized leading supplier and innovator in X-ray technology, and its product spectrum ranges from components and replacement parts to real-time x-ray and stand-alone systems. The company recently acquired the exclusive worldwide sales rights for amorphous silicon flat-picture detectors from a leading manufacturer. AXI has also developed a powerful software package for this advanced imaging system .
Mark R. Jewell, Director of Sales and marketing of AXI, stated that "We're pleased to have established this strategic cooperation with Viscom. We have established a solid reputation in the market, and the combination of our market competence and Viscom's X-ray technology make this partnership promising, and we're proud of it."
AXI sells, markets and also offers support for Viscom OEM components. With a staff of 23 account representatives, AXI is able to offer a complete line of support for both the United States and Canada.
Roy R. Whiteman, General Manager of AXI, offered further comment: "Viscom's greatest asset is the microfocus X ray tube. The outstanding technology and ease of operation make this product safe and reliable."
The highly developed X-ray tube is a world-class technical product. It was developed by Viscom and is the product of many years of experience in the field of microfocus technology for in-line inspection systems. Its modular, open construction ensures a virtually unlimited service life, reliability in operation as well as a constant optimal image quality and error detection capabilities. This excellent base technology influenced Viscom's decision to offer the components as OEM products on the market.
The computer architecture and graphical interface, based on the widely-used Windows NT operating system offers another advantage from Viscom. "Customers feel at home with Windows NT," explains Jewell.
Eberhard Hasler, Sales Manager of Viscom X Ray, expressed confidence. "We have been successfully cooperating on individual projects for over a year now. Our efforts will be intensified due to the increase in the number of projects, and form the nucleus of a contractual partnership. I look forward to a successful and promising future."
