The SMTA announced that the Contract Manufacturing Symposium will be held on October 16, 2012 as a focused symposium at SMTA International in Orlando, FL. The symposium, aimed at OEMs, EMS program managers and executives, looks at strategies for a changing market and discusses the questions: Onshore or offshore? Can regional providers really offer a comprehensive full service solution? What aftermarket services make sense in the EMS model?
Chaired by Susan Mucha, Powell-Mucha Consulting, Inc. and Mike Buetow, CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY Magazine, presentation topics include The Evolving Nature of Offshore/Onshore Options, Force Multiplication-Supporting Complex Customer Requirements at a Regional Level, Aftermarket Services: An EMS and OEM Perspective, and Re-shoring: Total Cost of Ownership, a Contract Manufacturing Guide.
