Quad QSA series was a joint project, but Quad machines still use feeders made by Samsung, or Samsung makes the feeders Quad designed (whatever). Advice on used pick and place machine Phil, The QSA-30 was built by Sam Sung, Sold by Quad. Single Head 2 Nozzles around 11K CPH Quad does not support the machine but I believe you can get parts direct from Sam Sung. I am not sure if they have a registration fee. The QSA used Quad made Quad Aligns scanner. They will handle 0402's. Most QSA did not have upward camera. It was a good machine but parts & service are and will become more of a problem. Quad Laurier Die Feeder? I used a Die feeder from Delaware Technologies for our Quad machine. We have not had Quad in our factory for over a year now so most of my knowledge is geared towards the older Quads. Don Dawson at Delaware Technologies can help. 609-235-8454. quad qsv-1 gantry - quad align issues Help! Since last Friday i have been having issues with a Quad qsv-1, it all started with a quad align error, i found there to be a small quantity of grease covering the lenses on both quad align sensors. Quad IVc power up Hello, I bought used QUAD IVc MKII with transport in "as-is" condition, powered it up (without air and PCB on machine) and all axes (X, Y, Z AND T(heta)shows signs of life. QUAD 4C T axis My Quad IVc's will also do the same thing. Mine are equipped with CyberOptics scanners, not QuadAlign. The Cyberoptics scanners do go bad and once they do, they get very warm to the touch and at the same time, if the Quad is reset, the theta axis will not home until I cool off the scanner with a small fan (or a can of blow-off turned upside down and blasted at it to cool it). An additional ground wire was added at the quad align cage,and to the PCB located inside the front right access panel. need info on Quad 1000 There is a Quad 1000 in eBay stores, but I can't get much info on what a Quad 1000 can or can't do. It appears to be a "chip shooter", but can it do 0805 passives, too? Does it need an option to do those? Does the 1000 have some form of optical centering and/or alignment, or is it totally machanical? QUAD QSA-30 Is there anyone using a QUAD QSA-30? I am experiencing problems with the Y axis drifting in the positive direction. This can occur anytime from a few minutes to several hours after the problem has been fixed. Fixed means recreating a program from scratch. We have six machines in a very small area and place over 10 million components per month. As others have said the service is great, within hours most cases. Autoprogram for DOS Why would you want AutoProgram for DOS? AutoProgram ver 5.3.2 is avilable from Quad Systems and is supported for using Windows 3.1.1 This is the latest rev for AutoProgram it is not supported for other operating systems because there is no more research from Quad engineering going in to it but it works very well I use it everyday.
