Nov 9, 2015 | residues on the board surface. If the soldering performance is satisfactory with no shorts or missing joints, the quantity of flux applied by spray may be reduced. This requires re-running and accepting a sample assembly. A photocopy of the bottom board layout should be made and any defects marked
Sep 11, 2015 | an SMT placement-oven-wash twice (top & bottom) by the time they reach selective solder 7) Selective solder performance is fantastic with other PCBAs 8) Both assys are lead-free/RoHS compliant products ----Our troubleshooting steps (despite which the problem persists)---- 1) Varied selective solder

Apr 6, 2011 | Difference Gold Plating electrolytic and ENIG with on BGA Hi, I am process engineer in PCBA factory.I have a question about gold plating on BGA.I want to know difference soldering performance between gold plating electrolytic and ENIG.Many thank for any idea.
Aug 26, 2009 | Solder Wire Expiry Dates Some print expiry date on reels and some specify a shelf life on data sheets. Two main reasons are that the flux in the wire is a mix of chemicals and over time in storage these can react so soldering performance can be changed. Although I have to say all flux chemistries difference in the soldering performance of a wire that has passed its shelf life.
Aug 26, 2009 | be interested to hear if you also have expiry dates on the solder wire you use or if it is only this manufacturer? Also has anyone used wire that has exceeded its expiry date and has any degradation in soldering performance been observed as a result? Many thanks
May 28, 2009 | Reflow Oven Upgrade We have A heller 1809 2005 model have replaced the chain drive motor twice have replaced 2 top blowers and one bottom blower as far as reflowing the solder performance has been great. the tech support has been great as well. we run 3 shifts 5 days a week.
Jul 28, 2007 | -free ** Immersion tin has poor solderability performance in Pb-free assembly (and whisker concerns) * SnCu HASL - has not been tested for this issue but Greatly undesirable (we don't want this!) ** Additional severe thermal shock to PWB ** Same issues with non-flat pads as SnPb HASL ** Extremely limited
May 30, 2007 | Rosin vs. Resin Flux Are there significant diffrences in terms of soldering (wire for manual solder) performance by using RO vs RE fluxes? Wich are the main differences between the two fluxes? Thank you Regards.....GSx
Jan 11, 2006 | operator skills, component and board solderability as well as ambient temperature and humidity The ideal solder paste must perform as good as possible in the range
Jun 5, 2002 | easy to access? Anything would helpful. Appreciate your help.

May 4, 2001 | Spray Fluxer Titration Kit In a Nut Shell.... Titration is used to maintain the Concentration level (Solids Content) of a liquid flux. Keeping the concentration level constent ensures repeatable fluxer & soldering performance. Specific gravity measurements can be used to do the same thing although
Nov 2, 1998 | to the amount of heat being applied. Solution: More heat or slower conveyor speed. 2) Too much flux; either alcohol OR water based. This is sort of related to #1. Solution: Put as little flux on the board as possible while still achieving acceptible soldering performance. 3) A combination of flux
Aug 17, 1998 | have been stimulated by current solderability performance of components or the concern that parts may require periodic assessment during storage. Alternatively it may have been highlighted due to the move away from more aggressive flux technology as companies eliminate cleaning. - 2 - A further
