Custom Nozzle Supplier for Universal Genesis | 20 June, 2017

I have a stamped steel battery contact to pick that has a pick location 11mm deep in the tape. The factory machine settings only allow 6.6mm of "over-drive" depth past the top of the carrier tape. Based on that, I will need a custom nozzle that is longer than a factory nozzle. Universal can supply one but I am not sure the lead time or price will meet our needs.

Are there any 3rd party nozzle suppliers other than "Count On Tools" that I found via Google search?

COT is the only one I've dealt with. We've made our own, here on occasion. If you have a machine shop or at least someone who can design stuff for you so you can farm the machining out, you can make something I'm sure. You can take a nozzle such as one with a metal tube pressed into (compliant tip) it and make an extension or something like that. Just pull the pressed fit tube out and install an extension between the body and the tip. Of course you now have to be careful that it doesn't try to park the nozzle in the changer. Can't remember how we did that but we were able to do it at one time. I'm rusty on that detail as my programming days are long gone.
