Innoquest, Inc.

Founded in 1993 — by company president Bill Hughes, P.E. — Innoquest has enjoyed steady growth powered by their Quest for Innovation.

Mr. Hughes is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois and has a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Illinois. He has designed over 70 products to date, 16 of which have won AE-50 awards from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers for outstanding innovation. He currently has 5 US patents with many more currently pending.

In 1991 Mr. Hughes started his entrepreneurial venture when he designed, manufactured, and sold humidity sensors for greenhouse control systems. In 1993 Innoquest was formally founded to design and sell electronic rain gauges. Starting in 1996 Innoquest started to evolve towards doing contract design and manufacturing for other companies. As a result, from 1996 to 2008 Innoquest developed and continues to manufacture over 50 products used for weather monitoring and soil diagnostic work by farmers, growers, and agricultural researchers. Innoquest continues to work closely with our contract partners and supplies many of the products in their lines.

Starting in 2008 Innoquest began to re-focus on proprietary products with the creation of the SpotOn® and other brands. Innoquest is now strongly focused on developing, manufacturing, and marketing their own product lines.
