Blakell Europlacer is a manufacturer of Europlacer Pick and Place systems and Speedprint Stencil printers. Within the UK we've expanded into distribution of a select range of 3rd Party products

Europlacer is the manufacturer of fully intelligent SMT placement systems and invented the ‘intelligent feeder’ which was launched into the SMT market in 1991. This intelligence forms the backbone of the ‘integrated intelligence™’ approach underpinning the range of machines. Protection of investment is key when making a decision on the purchase of capital equipment - Europlacer machines are designed to be capable of placing the whole range of devices in one single platform. This means that when a line has been configured, it may be broken down and reconfigured, without concern that the system may be unbalanced or incapabale and therefore limited in its ability. Software and feeders are intentionally kept compatible with earlier systems where possible, so again the investment in technology and training is not wasted when a new Europlacer machine is added to the customer’s factory.

Speedprint joined the Blakell Europlacer Group in 1997. Previously a manufacturer of semi-automatic stencil printers on an OEM basis (the semi automatic UP100 and UP200 machines were manufactured in Poole for MPM) Speedprint also previously manufactured semi automatic printers for SMTech. 2001 saw the introduction of a completely new approach to inline Stencil Printers, with a new system of ‘look down / look down’ camera technology, allowing for ease of setup and changeover, and to utilise either apertures or fiducials on the stencil.

Having full in-house design has allowed Speedprint to be extremely flexible in its approach to making the design of the range of machines easy to use, while at the same time reducing the number of subsystems and therefore increasing machine reliability.

Euoplacer and Speedprint also have an associate company in the UK in Scottish based AGR Automation. AGR designs and produces bespoke assembly solutions for various market segments including medical devices, pharma/drug delivery and high volume consumer disposables.

Within the UK, Blakell Europlacer has supplied a large number of placement machines and stencil printers over the years. In order to complement these products, a range of other associated manufacturing systems has been added and we are now in a position to provide a complete turnkey solution from printer through to placement, reflow, AOI, selective soldering, conformal coating and many other associated processes.
