Formed Plastics Products, Heavy Gauge Electrical Insulation

ORION has emerged as a leader in the fabrication of heavy gauge electrical insulation products - formed plastics.

Many of the materials we route include ITW Formex� and Statex� GE 's Lexan�, and acrylics, typically in thicknesses between 0.060" and 0.25".

One of the challenges inherent in materials in this thickness range is that customers require many of the parts to be formed, not flat. Many of these formed parts are used for electrical insulation, such as snap-in-place housings, protection of high voltage parts, or covering bus bars.
