Equipped with three luminous LED signals per position, the ISM500 Stronghold utilizes a PDA mobile computer that indicates the position of the components to be extracted preventing the incorrect removal of components.

The ISM500 Stronghold makes inserting components into the cabinet simple. The operator just has to read the code displayed on the PDA mobile computer and the system will suggest the position. For added flexibility, the operator may opt to insert components in a different position of his/her own choice. This allows dynamic management of the positions in order to best utilize the space available in order to reach maximum capacity.

The ISM500 Stronghold comes standard with a humidity control module. It is thus possible to control and monitor humidity and to maintain an internal environment with a humidity of less than 5% making it possible to store all sensitive components correctly. The PDA mobile computer can accurately calculate the life of each component monitored in terms of humidity.

The ISM500 Stronghold has the capability to trace all movements of each component and automatically calculate any exposure time beyond the set limits and will notify the operator and block access to the component if the maximum limit is exceeded. For security, the ISM500 Stronghold can also be equipped with electronic locks to allow only authorized persons access to components therein.

With the new, innovative and space-saving ISM (Intelligent Storage Management) modules from Juki there’s a complete system combination for every storage requirement (ISM400, ISM1100 or ISM2000). All modules are entirely compatible with the Juki standard software IS and a link with the Juki traceability software IFS-NX guarantees an all around closed inventory management within the production.

The material flow improves enormously with this software package and thus the works in progress, the setup times and machine downtimes reduce considerably.

All the systems are low maintenance and maintenance friendly. They can be extended optionally to drying cabinets, whereby a fully controlled and safe environment for MSD components is established.
