Stack Electronics

Global Electronics Distributor and Low Cost Region Manufacturer of a Wide Range of Custom Assemblies & Build to Print for major OEM, CM, Retail Customers, including Private & OEM Label.

Consultant / Service Provider, Distributor, Manufacturer

Core Business & Competency: While we do a significant volume of business in the semiconductor/computer product/alternate product/& manufacturing-assembly arenas, our core business is providing cost effective solutions. By this I mean either by providing standard or alternate source products, at competitive pricing (or, as a market leader in generating positive PPV in numerous programs) while enabling our customers to have maximum supply chain flexibility at the same time. As such, we support a wide range of customers, in many industries (including Auto-Transportation-Medical), with endless different types of procurement programs. We know that customers are seeking more than just a supplier, they are looking for well-rounded organizations that can provide a wide range of solutions, covering many different product segments and Assy’s services, on a global basis. They are also looking for partners that are proactive in working together with them to identify and address areas in which greater efficiencies can be developed, costs can be reduced, and a more effective supply chain can be realized. This is our core competency.

Supported Products: such as standard factory Electronic Components, Memory Storage & Computer Network Equipment-Hardware, MG Chemicals, and Datacom-Network Cabling, and Medical Equipment Parts, these products are supported by our NY based Global Distribution partner in business over 33 years, Stack Electronics. I should also note that Stack has had physical offices in Asia for over 20 years and maintains many high level relationships with numerous manufacturers that allow us to negotiate lower factory pricing structures on our customer’s behalf. It is important to note that all component products sold by Stack Electronics are new original OEM in its original factory packaging, fully warranted with Mfg warranty, there is zero open market procurement ongoing for any cost savings initiative projects as pricing is negotiated at the factory hub level.

Regarding Build to Print: all Custom Assembly and Kitting business is channeled through Stack’s manufacturing subsidiary, Supply Concepts Inc. ( www.supplyww.com  - 100% woman owned). All projects are managed through our corporate Hub in NY which handles all quoting & engineering, quality control, logistical, and communication headaches associated of dealing with Asia. The majority of what we build for major OEM/CM customers is produced offshore in low cost regions of Asia however, we also have some US & Mexico based MFG facilities that we work with on customer localization projects but the bulk of our mass production is done offshore. Through SCI, our customers gain pricing access to an offshore group of 30+ factories that we are partnered with. We have structured our business model as such to provide customers with true alternate source capability coupled with 1 stop shopping which makes possible for further AVL reductions. With having over 150 projects ongoing at any given time for major OEM/CM customers, we have a tremendous amount of price negotiation leverage when quoting new projects. Anything that customers are having produced in any other region other than Asia, we are going to be significantly cheaper the majority of the time.

PPV Program Involvement:  to date Stack Electronics is heavily engaged in numerous Cost Savings, PPV & Spot Buy programs with Fortune OEM & Tier 1-2 CM's. Provided with the opportunity to review the necessary Forecast & BOMS, Stack's worldwide purchasing & sourcing team consisting of over 120 executives (many of with are former supply chain & came from large franchise in Asia), will negotiate lower pricing structures on standard factory devices on behalf of our customers. *Very important to note, many of the relationships in play in Asia are high level, we try not to spin wheels or exercise these key persons as they are extremely valuable to Stack, and our customer base. Currently, Stack maintains direct relationships with the following manufacturers(Alps, Analog, Atmel, Kemet ST Micro, Vishay, TI, Samsung, Microchip, TDK, & Fairchild).  Additionally, Stack maintains the necessary channels to obtain factory Micron, Xilinx, Intel, and Altera, at lower pricing structures through authorized suppliers in APAC.  For any urgent materials that require immediate delivery, Stack has dedicated a team of 50+ global sourcing executives that work with our Account Managers on required customer allocated, EOL, and legacy products.  Lastly, Stack Electronics offers financially stable customers the benefit of NET Payment Terms and option of Flexible material stocking programs.  Our distribution facilities are located in Deer Park NY, Guadalajara Mexico, Honk Kong & Suzhou China.

Offered Material Programs:

Opportunity Buys - Some customers have little visibility on their demand or, their demand changes dramatically from quarter to quarter so they prefer to commit only for short term immediate stock, to be shipped in its entirety, with no provision for us to maintain inventory on hand or any "buffer stock".

Quarterly Buys - For customers who have a stable demand but do not wish to have inventory exposure beyond one quarter. Typically, they will buy 25% of EAU only...sometimes they will request monthly releases over this period.

Blanket Orders - Where there is good visibility and very stable forecast, some customers like to issue orders as "one and done"...so they don't have to continuously monitor MRP's and wish to have confidence of smooth deliveries. These type transactions generally are for deliveries over 6 months, or longer.

SMI - Also requires good visibility and reasonably good forecasts however, it provides some inventory flexibility (pull ins, push outs) and also provides for a degree of "buffer stock" to address project upsides. Normally, these transactions have durations of 6 months - 1 year, or longer.
