Job Description:

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Performs new process development, monitors and maintains the processes in all areas of manufacturing including, but not limited to assembly, soldering, conformal coating, prep and related equipment.
  • Responsible for generating, implementing, maintaining and updating manufacturing documentation including work instructions, flow charts/diagrams, maintenance logs,  procedures and manufacturing proposal documentation.
  • Monitors process equipments to identify potential errors/down times and develops solutions to eliminate the reoccurrence of those problems.  Verifies that machine maintenance is being performed on schedule and that maintenance logs are current.
  • Supports the development of new methods, processes, and equipment and applies them to the manufacturing operation, such as thermal profiling boards and optimizing process equipments to perform at it’s optimum settings.
  • Support manufacturing and proposal efforts by establishing and maintaining labor standards, cost estimates, capacity planning, throughput time standards, floor layouts and schedules.
  • Develops strategies and programs for continuous improvement of existing processes, improving technology of production processes, including inspection processes, leadership and support for new product development
  • Establishes and maintains measurement and feedback systems to monitor, pinpoint and troubleshoot problem areas and recommends solutions.
  • Provides instructions, training and encouragement to others in continuous process improvement.
  • Interface with all levels of management and employees to gather information and provide guidance for implementation.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Associate’s Degree (4 year BS Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred), or equivalent job experience as reviewed by pending supervisor.
  • Preferred 2 or more years experience as Process or Industrial Engineer in EMS environment
  • Preferred 1 or more years experience in automotive environment (preferably electronics or electrical)
  • Manufacturing factory experience (required)
  • Knowledge of ISO/TS16949 and IPC-A-610
  • Knowledge of EMS , Wave Solder and ReFlow Oven equipment

SKILL SET

  • Analytical & Organizational skills.
  • Problem solving and productivity techniques (exp: process mapping/cost time management).
  • Project Management Skills.
  • Able to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Preferred to be proficient with Gerber viewing / manipulation, AutoCAD and PLC programming.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Self motivated individual who enjoys measured improvements
