Test Engineer - Flying Probe

The primary responsibility of the test engineer is to provide engineering support for ICT and Flying Probe test processes in order to ensure throughput at the test areas.

The candidate will be responsible for the following including, but not limited to:

• Create and edit test programs for the flying probe machines, 2 tester models
• Install, maintain and modify In-Circuit test programs on Agilent 3070 and Teradyne 18xx platforms.
• Perform maintenance and repair testers and test fixtures
• Work with customers (internal and external) to address any test issues
• Attend yield meetings and provide support for containment and corrective actions and other yield improvements efforts
• Manage outsourced ICT programs working with vendors to meet schedules
• Work with the quoting group to provide test quotes for flying probe and ICT
• Create and provide training to production personnel
• Provide support for troubleshooting in production

The candidate should be familiar with

• Test platforms Takaya 8400 and 9400 series flying probe testers
• Agilent Flying ICT tester model 3070
• Teradyne ICT tester model 18xx
• Working with CAD data, gerber data, etc.

Candidate must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with other members of the technical and production staffs including the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non technical personnel. The ideal candidate must have an understanding of statistical principles and the ability to collect, reduce, analyze, and interpret a broad range of data. Ideal candidate should be familiar with the principles of six-sigma and be quality oriented.

The candidate will be required to interface with customers and participate in customer meetings and should have a professional demeanor and appearance.

Education/Work Experience Requirements

• Technical Bachelor s degree from an accredited University
• Minimum of 5 years working as an Test engineer
