Estimator III My client is looking for an experienced Estimator III to provide lead product realization support to the company and to join them as they continue on with their success. The company itself was founded in 1995 and is an award-winning Woman-Owned, SDB, Small Business. Their quality management system is ISO 9001 and AS 9100 registered. Their multi-disciplined engineering expertise includes: Electrical, Electronics, PWB/PCB Layout, Software Development, Mechanical, Modeling, Simulation, and Packaging. Their manufacturing capabilities include: Complex Electro-Mechanical Assembly, Circuit Card Assembly, Cable and Wire Harness Assembly, and System Integration. This combination of engineering and manufacturing capability provides their customers with a unique opportunity to minimize schedule risk, improve product quality, and enhance the security of intellectual property. Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate activities between departments in the development and validation of labor, material and subcontract estimates for various types of assemblies and systems Participate in bid/no-bid decision Work with engineers & vendors to develop & validate labor, material & subcontract estimates Final review & release of quote packages to contracts department Direct customer service interface for quotes Clarify requirements with customer Identify gaps in capabilities & investigate cost variances Create & maintain production cost models used for quoting Develop related "standard work processes" Required Qualifications: Associates degree in business administration or related field A minimum of four years experience performing related estimating function Excellent oral & written communication skills Excellent Microsoft Office experience Experience with ERP/MRP systems Experience with Industry & Military standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to electronics & mechanical assembly Ability to read, interpret & communicate contractual requirements Experience completing quote packages Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of production tooling Experience in complex assembly & test to include wire & cable, fiber optics, box builds and rack integration Knowledgeable in AS9100 & IS9001 compliance |
