Director or VP of Marketing (0794-SMT)

This position is responsible for company wide marketing for Nordson ASYMTEK.  Responsibilities include the definition of the strategic success factors in meeting market demands;  defining the road maps to guide the company’s technology development;  interpreting the technology capability road maps into defined product road maps; development and implementation of product introduction, maintenance, and termination plans;  price/volume optimization programs, definition of strategies for communication.  Directs activities of staff of market analyst, market specialists, product line managers, marketing communications manager.

The successful candidate will deliver strong guidance to the overall company and its strategies from the markets' perspective.  He/She will provide insight into the applications/customers/markets based on data and experience.  Product lines will be managed tightly for profitability and efficiency.  Market release programs will have strong strategic direction and optimized price/volume analysis. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• MBA with technical undergraduate degree preferred
• Minimum 10 years recent and comparable experience in the Electronics industry, Semiconductor preferred.
• 30% travel, including internationally
• Multi-language abilities is a plus, particularly Chinese, Japanese, Korean
• Experience working in Asia Pacific markets is desired
• Proven experience in leading a larger Marketing organization, including
• Proven experience in direct customer situations
