Job Description: |
This position reports to the Quality Manager and provides support in all areas of fabrication and assembly of passive components exceeding customer requirements and expectations in a fast paced environment. Support is defined as but not limited to the collection, analyzing and summarization of data and/or any task work for the continuous improvement of QA. All support functions completed by the QE will be submitted to the Quality Manager for assessment and approval.
POSITION FUNCTIONS:

Supports, analyzes and reports RoHS, ReACH and WEEE global requirements;

Conducts DOE experiments, including Taguchi, Fractional factorial Designs, Hypothesis testing, ANOVA and statistical analysis to support conclusions; GRR studies, Capability studies, trend Analysis is required;

Project management, DMAIC Approach, A3 , Fault Tree analysis, Ishikawa, 5-Why, to support Continuous Improvements and CAPA;

Supports Kaizen events, 5S, lean, 6-sigma initiatives, batch and demand flow processes

Performs internal audits to comply with ISO and other site requirements;

Develops, implements ,monitors, coordinates test plans, PPAP’s, to support all environmental customer requirements, including (but not limited to) Military, automotive, medical, industrial, gas, commercial applications; interfaces with other groups to develop hardware/software test requirements and algorithms;

Supports corrective action/preventive actions/ Return Material Authorization/ Failure Analysis; Poke-yoke; coordinates all test activities and interprets test results effectively and efficiently; SEM, C-SAM, X-RAY laminography/transmission , XRF, etc…;

Supports and applies IPC-610, J-standards, Mil-PRF-55342 & 83401, AEC-Q100/200 standards

Participates in Design reviews, pilot runs, and development assessments;

Assesses Customer Surveys and questionnaires;

Supports MSDS systems;

Supports other initiatives as directed by QA manager;
POSITION RESPONSIBILITES:
-
Departmental data collection, paretos, trends of nonconforming material, work-in process, finished goods; Calculate cost of poor quality; RMA’s;
-
Calculate, monitor and report weekly, monthly, and quarterly PPM ‘s; Meet PPM goals through team approach;

Review data trend and PPM with engineering and manufacturing to mitigate negative trends;
-
Assess and evaluate departmental processes with engineering to enhance process controls, lean processes and continuous improvements;
-
Plan, conduct, document failure analysis and corrective action/ preventive actions; Verify effectiveness of CAR’s; work with other departments to embrace change; Interface with customer and suppliers to identify and eradicate root-cause;

Support purchasing with supplier issues and SCAR’s;

Perform internal audits and mentor others as required;

Report monthly customer scorecards and details of nonconformance;

Support activities to maintain space level qualification

Support environmental management system compliance;

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
-
BS in an Engineering field with 2-5 years experience in an Quality position; manufacturing environment preferred.

Green belt/ Black belt 6-Sigma qualified.

Proven experience of establishing and monitoring yield data bases.

Capable of working as a team player and leading funcational and cross functional teams.

Ability to use the tools necessary to solve problems.

Leader as well as supporter of 6-sigma and lean programs.

Keen to develop professionally. Ability to convey information to others with effective speaking skills.

Able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
