Job Description: |
The SMT Manager will oversee the SMT department operations including scheduling, quality, on time delivery, inspection, programming and test activities.
Requirements:
• The successful candidate requires a minimum of five (5) years work experience in an electronics manufacturing environment (SMT operation and/or management). College diploma in electrical or electronics field preferred.
• Proven Leader; demonstrated ability to set and meet aggressive goals and objectives.
• Demonstrated knowledge in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing.
• Excellent knowledge of Surface Mount Technology and processes.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires strong computer skills.
• Fuji Experience highly preferred
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Schedule SMT production and monitor efficiency to ensure production dates are met.
• Review and recommend staffing levels and training. Work with the Production and Engineering team members to define and implement equipment and resource requirements.
• Optimize setup time and programs to improve overall equipment efficiency.
• Review production and operating reports and resolve problems to prevent operational delays. Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives in the Surface Mount Department.
• Understand, follow and enforce procedures, including ISO9001 requirements and IPC standards.
• Manage department resources and budgets.
• Ability to mentor, coach team performance to achieve objectives.
• Other tasks as assigned.
