Manufacturing Process Engineer

Thales Communications, Inc. is currently seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Process Engineer to support electro-mechanical manufacturing in our Clarksburg, MD facility. The candidate must be driven with a strong ability to multi-task under pressure. Responsibilities: This individual will help lead our Lean Manufacturing improvement initiatives, support new product introductions, and increase manufacturing efficiencies. This role requires demonstrated skills in electro-mechanical assembly and the implementation of mistake proofing devices. Qualifications : - U.S. Citizenship. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. 5 to ten years experience in: - People/communication skills, electro-mechanical assembly experience, Kaizen events - Proficient in several of the following disciplines: SPC, Line Balancing, Time studies, Control Plans, FMEA, Quality Analysis Tools (Taguchi, Fishbone), DOE, Six Sigma. -Must have a BS in Electrical, industrial, or Mechanical Engineering. -Tool/fixture design experience, AutoCAD desired. -Team management experience also a plus.
