Job Description:

Thales Communications, Inc. is currently seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support electro-mechanical manufacturing in our Clarksburg, MD facility. The candidate must be driven with a strong ability to multi-task under pressure.

Responsibilities: This individual will help lead our manufacturing improvement initiatives, support new product introductions, and increase manufacturing efficiencies. This role requires demonstrated skills in electro-mechanical assembly and the implementation of mistake proofing devices.

Qualifications :

  • U.S. Citizenship. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

5 to ten years experience in:

  • People/communication skills, electro-mechanical assembly experience, Kaizen events
  • Proficient in several of the following disciplines: SPC, Line Balancing, PPAP, Control Plans, FMEA, 8D/5 Why, root cause analysis, Gage R&R, APQP, GD&T, Quality Analysis Tools (Taguchi, Fishbone), DOE, Six Sigma, and QS9000/TS16949.
  • Must have a BS in Electrical, industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Tool/fixture design experience desired.
  • Team management experience also a plus.
