Production Manager: Textile Industry A small fast growing company, located on the south side of Chicago, is looking for a well-organized individual to: �h Direct and coordinate production, processing, and distribution activities. �h Coordinate and recommend procedures for facility modification to streamline or expand production. �h Develop budgets and approve expenditures for supplies, materials, and human resources. �h Helps hire, train, evaluate, and resolve personnel grievances of production staff. �h Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records. �h Examine samples of raw products or direct testing during processing to ensure finished products conform to prescribed quality standards. �h Work with staff to develop new products and processes or improve the quality of existing products. �h Analyze operational reports to detect production and processing problems. �h Negotiate material prices with suppliers. �h Initiate and coordinate inventory and cost-control programs. �h Review processing schedules and production orders to determine staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments. Computer Skills: Well-versed in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, familiar with MRP systems (Bill of material structuring, part number generation, system demands, creating monitoring and closing work orders....), and AutoCAD. Salary: $30,000 to $45,000+ Important pluses would be manufacturing experience, computer skills, the ability to communicate in Spanish, and an Associate or Bachelors Degree in Production Management: Textile Industry.
