ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONICS ENGINEER II

UEC is looking for an Electrical/Electronics II engineer who is motivated and enthusiastic about joining an engineering group which provides design and development of battery systems, power distribution systems, and power generation systems for industrial and military applications! Candidates need to have an understanding of developing new products, from marketing requirements, through design, manufacturing and support through the product life cycle. You will interact with cross-functional teams of Electrical Engineers, Software Developers, Mechanical Engineers, Marketing, Program Management and Manufacturing.

Position reports to the Director of Engineering or assigned supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • Develop high voltage power electronics circuits and control algorithms.
  • Design, Document, and Validate designs.
  • Write Engineering Requirements, Test Plans, Validation Reports.
  • Perform electrical and thermal simulation and analysis of high voltage power electronics.
  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. 
  • Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering or technically related field
  • Minimum of 4 years related engineering experience
  • Ability to model and simulate complex circuits
  • Ability to write and follow algorithms coded in C and C++ programming languages
  • Design knowledge with analog and digital semiconductors
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills and ability to guide critical decisions
  • Must be highly motivated, a self-starter with innovation, and have high integrity and the ability to pay attention to details.
  • Proven track record of working in fast-paced innovative work environment
  • Design, develop, and test all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and machinery
  • Working knowledge of computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment
  • Ability to apply principles and techniques of electrical engineering to accomplish goals
  • Working knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the electrical engineering field
