PCB Inspection

This course will provide the students with an inspection strategy to physically review the product to determine the whether or not it meets the IPC-A-610 requirements. The students will learn how to find the problem areas on the assemblies with a focus on improving product yields. They will learn how to improve their discrimination and inspection skills.

This class is intended for personnel inspecting printed circuit assemblies or any employee who is involved in vendor qualification or incoming inspection of PCBs.

This is a one-day course utilizing instruction and hands-on training including providing students with an experience in visually inspecting printed circuit assemblies.

Magnification and lighting
Through hole inspection
Wire and terminal inspection
SMT inspection
BGA inspection
Leadless device inspection
XRAY inspection-transmissive
This is a 1-day, practical, hands-on session and discussion. The prerequisite is good working knowledge of IPC A-610 specification. Everyone who successfully completes the inspector proficiency will receive a certificate of completion from BEST.
