Hi all,

It is obvious that people starting with SMT assembly can not easily get training courses. User manuals are not suficient.Small companies buying used SMT machines are very interested in training books and videos. Is there any source of decent books and CDs which can guide new operators??? It will be very usefull if someone can give informations. Mike

Hi GS,

We are contract manufacturer for small series of electronic equipment fully trained for SMT.Making mostly RF with only few QFPs,TSOPs...SMT machine assembly was made by local subcontractor when needed. Recently we acquired two Juki 730 machines,Panasonic printer and two reflow ovens from Hollis and Panasert. Want to add 760 placer latter.

Juki does have operators and service courses in USA for 700 series but not in EU. I was asking if someone have made video courses for most popupar machines like Fuji, Panasonic,Universal,Philips, Juki,Samsung. This can be very usefull for small companies to enlarge their turnover with minor investments. I have to check again with Juki or find someone in EU to pay for the training.

Maybe someone will accept our offer.

Best regards

Mike

Sorry Mike, I did not understood you were looking for pick and place's operator training, etc.

Juki 700 series in Europe, (known also with brand name Zevatech , Ch, until late '90s)are very popular pick and place and it may be there are also some freelance Service people that can help with training.

Best Regards.............GS

There are some web-based and LAN-based training programs on lead free SMT manufacturing at the Automated Learning Systems web site. These are pretty good resources.

I have videos at home on SMT and Wave Solder. Took them from my 1st company which shut down their Electronics Manufacturing operation. I can sell them to you for a price of 187.5 Riyal ($50).
