How does producer responsibility affect contract manufacturers? are CM's responsible or are their customers?

OEM are responsible for take-back and reclaiming of their products. Look here: http://www.elecdesign.com/Articles/ArticleID/5312/5312.html

The Brits have an interesting expression related this topic. Fly-tipping: Fly-tipping is 'the illegal deposit of any waste onto land i.e. waste dumped or tipped on a site with no license accept waste'. Fly-tipped waste generally consists of large items of rubbish that are dumped illegally on land instead of being disposed of properly at a landfill site tip, often referred to as 'dumping'.

Here in the states, we have a similar, but unrelated expression. Cow-tipping. Look here: http://www.digitalo.com/vrml/cowtip.html

& Never forget the 3 golden rules:

1) Make sure the cow doesn't have horns. 2) Make sure it IS asleep. 3) Check out the field in daylight BEFORE you go to the pub.
