Anyone know of a place to get the vacuum pads for the traverser of the LCS units? Assembleon want over $100 each for a ring of ESD foam! ! ! ! If I can't find a reasonable source I guess I will try to make them myself.

We go through maybe 8 a year. We have 2 lines with LCS and each traverser has 4 pads so that would be $856/yr for 8 pieces of foam. I know they are custom made but I am thinking if I could find the right foam I could make these myself. I was told that there is a supplier of these but they didn't give me the name as they are an employee of Assembleon. Anyone know this company or where I can get the right type of ESD foam?

Thanks

You might try..... http://www.wpsales.com/ or SMT research

They sell aftermarket nozzles etc. and if you show them a market for these Vac. pads I bet they would start carrying them (they may have them already). I'm sure there are others out there but I dealt with these 2 for Fuji stuff. Maybe they can steer you in the right direction if nothing else.

good luck, pr
