First thing we'd do is: Reject the boards to the supplier

We assume you've thought of that. Second thing we'd do is: Call a cleaning service: * Petroferm Contract Services [www.partscleaned.com] Franklin, Ky * Aqueous Technologies [www.aqueoustech.com] Rancho Cucamonga, CA * FinePoint Precision Cleaning [www.finepointinc.com] Kokomo, IN * Austin American Technology [www.aat-corp.com] Austin, TX

There are some equipment out there for this purpose, that roll some type of "sticky paper" over the pcb. BUT with this type of equipmnent, there is a high risk of loading up the pcb:s with static electricity. Therefore You must consider to use some other equipment or method to unload the static electricity, if the cleaning equipment/machine is not ESD-approved. Regards,
