PCB wave dams

Dose anybody know of a method of preventing board sag in the wave process. We have a 2 year old Deltawave. The product we are running is a one sided 10in x 12in panel of 6 PCB's. Pin headers and connectors are near all of the edges. Our current board stiffeners and universal pallets do not work because of the proximity of the parts to the edges. During process there is no visible sage until the PCB encounters the wave. The resulting sag is just enough to miss connectors at rail edges and only at the leading first inch of the PCB. Re paneling or product specific pallets is our only option at this point.

Hi Paul,

One way but it slows down the process, is to get fixturing pallets made. You can usually get a universal fixture made for anywhere from $185-225USD. Hopefully this can help.

Paul,

I met these guys at APEX http://www.stonemountaintool.com, they were willing to work with us on pricing.
