Anyone have experience/comments on SAMSUNG SMD placement machines | 14 September, 1998

We are looking at a third P&P machine for our factory. I have received brochures on a SMASUNG CP30V machine. It looks great and has all the plus points for a contract manufacturing company such as ourselves. The basic specs are: 14400 cph - 3 heads .3mm pitch QFP placement capability (1.2 sec/QFP) 104 x 8mm feeder positions windows based software I am concerned though, as I have not seen any postings concerning SAMSUNG equipment. Is anyone here using SAMSUNG equipment? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Robert Steltman

Quad Systems sells the Samsung product with Quad's patented QuadAlign optics system and Quad feeders as opposed to the mechanical centering system available on the product direct from Samsung. Generally, all optical centering is superior to mechanical centering. If you need any info on the CP30V equipped with QuadAlign, please leave me a message!

They were familar with the machine, but not aware of very many machines in the US. They gave me the following site, but I couldn't find dip on placement machines and it's ssslllooowww. Dave F
