Help! I need Conductive Floor Mats ASAP!! | 27 October, 1998

I need new mats that would be suitable for moving feeder carts across. And I need them tomorrow! We just pulled out the old ones to allow for installation of a new line and the old stuff isn't looking so pretty. Please help.

Scott,

Just wondering whether you are all set with the mats and whether you got help via your Forum posting. Would appreciate it if you could share the results here.

Thanks,

Cunli

At this point it appears that the sales guys (and gals) want to sell me:

  • Rolled conductive material
  • Conductive mats
  • Tiles
I don't like the rolled stuff because it never manages to lie flat. The mats are an OK idea and I heard about some kind of gray stuff that's supposed to work. Tiles are probably the best but I only have $1,499.99 to spend on this stuff. So I'm stuck between using multiple mats (with those troublesome wires) or buying a small quantity of tiles. Another drawback to tiles that I'm finding is that you have to let them sit for 48Hrs. Yeah, like I can do that. Some interlocking tiles may eliminate the wires, resist popping up, and be semi-affordable. That's what I have so far.
