I have a zevatech 570 and 560 my boss want to place bga.s with these machines, Ive told him he needs to ugrade to newer machines. Zevatech say "no problem our machine are number 1". these machines dont even offer bga selections. These machines dont even have vision they have nothing, I afraid we will be doing alot of rework. but U can't rework bga's with out a proper station. Can someone give me a list of the minumim requirment that one would need to build bga's properly. Jerry

If Zevatech is backing the machines you are running!I'm not familiar with Zevatech Equipment ,but if they claim to place BGA'S,put them to the test! Most vendors are more than happy to test your parts for you.You do not want to throw Bga's around!lol If thats the case just hire some more people and do BGa Hand Placements.( See where that will get you) I'M sure Zevatech will back you. Good luck! Stimp..

Actually, hand placement is fairly easy depending on part types. I mean, you can be off by up to 50%, and solder paste off 30%, and you'll still get reflow and reflow alignment. Not the way to go for production, but you got to get those folks with money to cough some up if they're serious about a customer's need. Just don't let it be me as your customer - yet.

this will work for small production runs. inspect for any missing solder bumps before placement (manually inspection) then use the outline centering on the bga.Inspect only the outer 4 corner for centering. nazeeh

It has the capabilities of placing BGA, Micro and Ranbus all on the fly with a six headed Scan Camera, pretty quick and repeatable. I belive the Zeva is a two or three headed system, this "look" copuld yield you a better PPH and there is no price difference.

Check it out.
