Missalingment 0402 Capasitor by Vision on TCM1000 | 1 October, 1999

Hi,

We are running 0402 component on the TCM1000 and we find that teher will be missalignment on 0402 Capositor. We have identified that the missalignment is caused by the wrong information from the vision system while doing vision centering. The sysntoms is always missalinment in the angle direction. Suprisingly this missalinment does not happen on 0402 Resistors.

The part library data is as follows: X mold size = 1.0 +/- 0.2 Y mold size = 0.5 +/- 0.15 Vision Alogrithm = 1 Vision Level = 1 X Y Corner Data 1 0.12 mm 0.12 mm Cornet Data 2 0.12 mm 0.12 mm Corner Data 3 0.12 mm 0.12 mm Corner Data 4 0.12 mm 0.12 mm

Have anyone encounter this problem before, and any suggestion what to check ?

Most machines have a different vision type to compensate for this problem. You might want to check and see if yours does. That�s just my opinion, I could be wrong.
