Screen printer, MPM or DEK | 11 February, 2000

We are currently reviewing two machines MPM ultraprint 1500 and the DEK 265 Infinity

We have been to the MPM plant and saw the 1500 but all of the DEK units localy are 5 to 10 year old units. If anyone has had any experence using these machines I would like to get any feedback which would help in selection. Thanks

I currently use MPM 500, Ultraprint 2000 and Ultraprint 3050 and SPM-AV (10 or so total MPM printers). I have several DEKs but I am just not compelled to associate my name with...

I would stake my reputation on my MPM class printers. They have served me well. Speedline service and support is top shelf material....they help set the standard for excellence.

How old are the DEK units that you have. The purpose of the printer will be for small runs. The problem Im having with our current ultriprint 2000 is it seems to require re-alignment each time the product is setup.

MPM 2000 Realignment? Are you having to insert print offsets (X.Y, theta)? If yes, your vision cubes are out of alignment. This typically happens if a "crash" occures. A "C" tool can correct this.

Or are we talking about alignment where the board model is not in the FOV of the stencil model? If this is the case use "stencil adjust". This utility is used to insert an offset to compensate for variance in setup (most noted on X axis). Also, do you have side snuggers, end snuggers or none? Good options to have!

As for the DEK I have learned to not lament online. If you really want to know the story email me at phu7967332@aol.com
