I have a Quad QSV-1. When I was teaching the fiducials, an error came up on the screen. ABNORMAL PROGRAM TERMINATION came up. It might have read something different but this was close. It then closed out of the quad program and went to the windows screen. I powered down the machine and tried to restart. When I turned the machine back on there was no power. The only thing that turns on is the lights on the camera. I checked the breakers and everything is on. Does anyone have any ideas.

Your UPS did not shut down properly....reset it by going in through the bottom right side cover (exit end of the machine) and press the reset button on the ups. The machine should then work properly. Next is why the fiducial froze up. If you mistyped and put a rather large number in for the model....lets say you put in .3 instead of .03 for the size....it will freeze up when you go to teach them.

good luck, Bob

Thanks for the info. We tried the reset button but no luck. The UPS is not powering up. We checked the incoming power and it was good. So we took the UPS out and took off the cover to check for blown fuses. We also checked the reset button and it is good. Everything seems good but its not powering up.

Sounds like the battery or batteries inside are dead. You can just plug the input and the output on the back of the unit into each other. The ups is not needed on the machine and was only used so that you can shut down the computer properly incase the power went out. I tell most of my customers to just remove them and not to use them. Just my 2 cents worth.
