Hi... We specialize in small/medium production batches and as such, many components are supplied in stick form as opposed to Tape and Reel.

We use a variety of stick feeder magazines for the vib feeders, but don't have any for TSSOP devices (specifically TSSOP16, TSSOP18 and TSSOP20), DPAK and SOT223 devices. THis means they have to be manually placed. I would dearly like to idenitfy which Siemens stick feeder magazines are suitable for these devices. I've had no luck with the information that Siemens UK have so far supplied.

Cheers

Gary

Anyone know of an alternate source for these parts?

Try making your own out of the IC tubes.. I used to do this all the time when I was using Siemens. Not as good as the metal slides from Siemens but it will work good enough..

Yes... I can generally get away with it for all but the low profile stuff such as tssop packages. The plastic tubes are so shallow anyway that once you've used a scalpel to create a pick up window, you've virtually got no side-wall left. Anything but the very slightest vibration is enough for components to bounce out of the packaging and even then it's not enough vibration to acheive consistent progress of components down the tube (they'll pause mid way).

Thanks for the reponse anyway.
