Fuji CP6 shaft maintenance

Does anyone out there have a method of cleaning CP6 shaft clutches that is "easier" ?

I am not a fan of just pulling the shaft down and wiping it out. I like to take them apart and clean/lube them.

It is a pain to get the crowns back on without ripping the tips of your fingers off and shooting the thrust bearings behind the turret.

Our current method: 1. Loosen the clutch from the pick side of the machine using the alignment tool to hold it in place. 2. Rotate loose clutch to the place side of the machine and disassemble and PM. 3. Re-install clutch parts and rotate back to the rear of the machine to tighten (using alignment tool to hold in place)

The method that you are using is the same method usually used by other fuji user. Their is no other way of doing this. Mastering this, make this job so easy in the long run.

I would suggest skipping this step altogether. No one will ever know.

Ya probably most used equipment guys do skip that step on the machines they sell as "production ready"

As for us, our machines need to actually build boards without going down on the errors that dirty clutches create....you silly man.
