We're currently using adhesive-type board cleaners (TekNek), and they've been more troublesome than anything. They cause a lot of hangups, and hence causing m/c crashes, etc.

Any recommendations on PCB cleaners that can be integrated into the production line?

Thanks much...

What exactly is an "adhesive-type" cleaner?

You may look at Electrovert or Aqueous

An adhesive style cleaner is primarily used as a "precleaner" for bare boards only. These machines are placed between the loader and the printer. The TekNek machines can be best compared to those disposable lint and hair rollers. The same type of roll is used, just much larger. As the board passes through, a rubber roller contacts the PCB, and the adhesive roll then pulls debris from the rubber roller. I have used these in the past, and they do pull up quite a bit of hair, dust and other surprises. The Teknek we had ran well. However, if you would like to look into an alternative, look here: http://www.manixmfg.com/

Why do your boards need so much attention coming right out of the box? I've worked at several companies and have gotten boards from dozens of board vendors, but none had the debris on them like yours. Even at my currnet job, about 7 different stickers are placed onto the board before they reach the adhesive process. I've never had an adhesive issue. Just trying to save you some money.

Actually, although we use them for board boards, its not so much for that as it is for the the b-side handling of PCBs.
