Does Humidity affect the ESD & Solder Paste? If so what is the standard for %RH?

Certain solder pastes are more affected by humidity than others. Search the fine SMTnet Archives for more on controlling humidity in your plant.

A humidity like > 85% RH are not a problem if speking of ESD. On the other hand, < 30% RH can become critical! Even if You are wearing an ESD coat, wrist straps, shoes on an ESDfloor and such; there will be ESD issues! There is No standard! What type of production are You into? /Regards
